PROJECT PARTNER WEBSITES

Yellowstone Volcano Observatory
The Yellowstone Volcano Observatory was created as a partnership among the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Yellowstone National Park, and University of Utah to strengthen the long-term monitoring of volcanic and earthquake unrest in the Yellowstone National Park region. YVO is one of the five USGS Volcano Observatories that monitor volcanoes within the United States for science and public safety.

Thermal Biology Institute at Montana State Unviersity
TBI conducts and promotes research and education focused on the biology and interrelated physical and chemical processes of geothermal environments in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.

United States Geological Survey
"As an unbiased, multi-disciplinary science organization that focuses on biology, geography, geology, geospatial information, and water, we are dedicated to the timely, relevant, and impartial study of the landscape, our natural resources, and the natural hazards that threaten us."

NASA Astrobiology Institute
The mission of astrobiology is to study the origin, evolution, distribution, and future of life on Earth and in the Universe. NAI scientists study Yellowstone National park as an analog for thermal areas that probably existed on Mars long ago.
