Bishop Ellis organized Mount Tabor Union Baptist Church in 1987 with thirteen members. Mount Tabor (now Full Gospel Baptist Church), is one of the fastest growing churches in The Bahamas; and over the years the Ministry has emerged as the largest body of believers in the country. With a membership of more than 7,000; the life-changing messages delivered by Bishop Ellis are regularly quoted throughout the country.

Bishop Ellis has been involved in the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International since its inception and in 1995 he was consecrated as Bishop of Foreign Ministries. Bishop Ellis’ diligence and commitment to the Fellowship has resulted in his serving in numerous capacities.

In 2004, Bishop Ellis was honored by Civil Society as a “Living Legend” in The Bahamas. In 2005, Bishop Ellis received one of the highest honors of the Commonwealth, the Companion of St. Michael and St. George, a British order of chivalry. It is used by the British Monarchy (Her Majesty, The Queen of England) to honor individuals who have rendered distinguished services in Commonwealth nations.

He and his wife, Patrice, live with their children in West New Providence, Nassau, The Bahamas.
