Tour of Florida Bay
Encompassing about 1/3 of Everglades National Park is the stunning Florida Bay. This unique system of mangrove keys, seagrass, and more is best explored by boat. This tour is available from November 1 to April 30 and departs at 10 am, 12 pm, 2 pm, and 4 pm.
All motorboat operators within Everglades National Park boundaries are required to take a free course on Boater Education. This is essential to protecting our delicate seagrass prairie, the largest in North America. You can take the course
here. Bring your certificate with you in order to rent or operate boats in the park.
Reception and WiFi are unreliable in Flamingo. Generally, AT&T is the only cell service provider with signal anywhere west of Nine Mile Pond.
Public WiFi is available inside the Guy Bradley Visitor Center. This signal does not stretch to the building exterior, so it is only available from 8 am to 5 pm when the facility is open.
Cell towers and satellites can be unresponsive at any time, sometimes for days. Visitors should prepare to have limited access to these modern amenities during their visit.
Planning a special event? The Guy Bradley Visitor Center is also an event space with several options for meetings, weddings, and more.
