This small guest room is furnished almost entirely with furniture made in the Val-Kill Shop. The framed photograph hanging on the wall opposite the door to the office is a portrait of Katherine Delano Robbins Collier (1860-1953) with her youngest children Muriel and Warren. After her husband's death in 1889, she married Hiram Price Collier and had two more children, Catherine and Sarah. The family affectionately called her "Aunt Kassie." Aunt Kassie was sister to FDR's mother. |
