Restrooms, water, and a picnic table are available. Sandstone BluffsA 1.5-mile gravel road leads up to a spectacular overlook of the varied lava flows of El Malpais. Picnic tables and toilets are available. Be mindful of the weather before your visit, especially if thunderstorms are in the forecast. Joe Skeen Campground (Bureau of Land Management)This primitive campground features 10 sites with shade shelters, pit toilets, picnic tables, and fire grates. Acoma-Zuni TrailheadThe east side trailhead for the rugged Zuni-Acoma Trail; be prepared for this strenuous hike. La Ventana Arch (Bureau of Land Management)La Ventana Arch is one of the largest sandstone arches in New Mexico and is a common attraction 18 miles (29 km) south of Interstate 40.
