Field Trips

1. Prepare For Your Day
Bringing a class to the Ellis Island National Museum of Immigration can be a fun, memorable, and educational experience! Resources are available below for self guided activities. We also have a variety of school based curriculum programs you can utilize for your students. A Junior Ranger program is also available at the front desk of the museum. Audio Tours are included with the purchase of your admission ticket.

2. Book Your Field Trip

Although Ellis Island does not charge an entrance fee, there is a fee for ferry transportation to the island. For more information, visit Ticketing Information: School Groups. Once you're ready, you can Purchase Group Tickets (through Statue City Cruises).

3. Other Helpful Information for School Groups

Before coming to Ellis Island, check out the following links to help in planning your groups visit. You can check the Weather, Ferry Schedule, Directions, and information on Security Screenings. The National Park Service requires that there be one adult chaperone (age 21 or older) for every 10 students in your group. Chaperones are to remain with their group at ALL TIMES.
