After spending the week digging out from the recent snowstorm, the crew will reach the Pretty Rocks slump by the end of the day today. The crew will continue to work at building the ramps threw the slump to gain access across the slump to continue to Toklat.
The road beyond Mountain Vista is drifting back in and will not be maintained daily. Anyone skiing, cycling, or otherwise recreating along the road beyond Mountain Vista should be prepared for a mix of exposed road and heavy snow drifts for the foreseeable future.

The road crew reached the Pretty Rocks slump last week and began to remove snow out of the slump. This is in preparation for building access ramps across the slump, to continue plowing to Toklat. We will proceed on to Toklat to allow maintenance staff access to open camp, once the ramps are completed. However, the road crew has had to set back to reopen the road after this last round of snow and wind. There is still snow possible over the next week or so and may require the crew to set back again.
As always please be aware of equipment working along the road.
