The contractor performed their second blast on the west abutment rock wall last week. They also started installing attenuator fencing on the east abutment rock wall, which will be in place as a safety measure during construction.
This week, they are drilling blast holes in preparation for the next blast and beginning to deliver the concrete abutment blocks from Anchorage to the park. The blocks will be staged at the Mile 5 pit for installation next summer.
