The rough access route across the slide is in use. Granite worked on the route last week so that other limited equipment can reach the west side of the slide. The route remains steep and can only be crossed by heavy equipment and tracked vehicles.
Ongoing work involves excavating the east abutment upper slope, hauling material at night to the Mile 44 and Mile 45.1 staging areas, and moving equipment and construction materials from the Mile 5 pit to the Pretty Rocks site.
