Places To Go

Visitors to Craters of the Moon can find information, camping, hiking, sightseeing, and more along the park's 7-mile Loop Road, located just off Highways 20/26/93.

Start your visit at the Robert Limbert Visitor Center, just inside the entrance, where you'll find maps, exhibits, passport stamps, a bookstore, and more. Head deeper into the park to enjoy the scenic drive, or make stops along the way to stroll, hike, picnic, snap photos, and explore this area's unique volcanic features. Browse a list of popular stops below, or visit Things to Do for more trip ideas!

The Loop Road is typically closed due to winter snow from mid-November through mid-April. Check the Current Conditions page for the latest road information.
