Expand Content Creation in the left panel of the Site Administration dashboard and click Page Creation/Properties UI to customize settings that control the user interface for creating pages and uploading documents and external pages.
Subsite administrators can further refine these defaults when configuring subsite standards. See Additional Settings.

The Page Creation/Properties UI dialog displays with three tabbed sections. Click to view details:
NOTE: For each of these document types, you have the option to show/hide individual fields. Note that you cannot save a field as hidden unless you also set a default category for the containing document type in Manage Content Categories.
