Visit Fletchers Cove Boat House to rent a boat or a bicycle, hike, or have a snack along the water.

Choose to hike, ride, or walk along the towpath or the Capital Crescent Trail providing views of the Potomac River and Washington, DC in the distance. If you're biking be sure to check out the park's bike safety rules and tips.

Fletchers Cove is a popular location for fishing!

At Fletchers Cove the park follows Washington, DC Department of Energy & Enviroment fishing regulations and requirements; license required for persons aged 16-65.

Information is also available about fishing along the C&O Canal.

Abner Cloud House

Built in 1801 by Abner Cloud, Jr., the house is considered one of the finest examples of Federal architecture in Washington D.C. The three-story, stone home opens to the public monthly and is operated by the The Colonial Dames of America.

Fletchers Cove has plenty of parking and accessible ramps. Parking is available next to Abner Cloud House and additional parking in the lower section. Lower Section of parking is accessible via a small tunnel passed the house.

*Please consider that Canal Road access is subject to weekday morning and evening one way rush hour restrictions.
