Hike a Trail

Cedar Breaks contains a variety of hiking trails, many of which are considered easy to moderate. Trails provide access to outstanding viewpoints not visible from the road. Please keep in mind all trails start at over 10,000ft and can be more difficult then they appear for those not acclimated, visit our safety page for more information by following the link below. Ranger-led walks and hikes may be available in the summer months, check out our calendar page for details.

Protect Your Park

Watch Your Step
Please walk only on trails and keep all vehicles and bikes on designated roads.

Stay Above the Rim
Due to the steepness of the amphitheater, please do not attempt to hike down from the rim. There are ways to explore the bottom of the Cedar Breaks Ampitheater by starting in Dixie National Forest.

Leave the Rocks as You See Them
Graffiti—carving, scratching, chalking, or any type of marking—is illegal and unsightly. If you see someone marking on the rocks, please report it to a ranger.
