Drive the Self-guided Auto Tour
Mount Carmel Cemetery is a stop on the self-guided auto tour of Cedar Creek Battlefield. Park rangers recommend setting aside most of a day to explore Cedar Creek & Belle Grove National Historical Park. If you only have a couple of hours, get oriented at the Visitor Contact Station and then head to Belle Grove Plantation to tour the grounds and manor house. With an hour or less, come to the Visitor Contact Station for an overview of the park and to plan a future visit. Shoulder pull-offs along the Valley Pike (U.S. Highway 11) just south of Middletown offer quick scenic views of the battlefield. |
