- The Main Visitor Parking Lot is located at 1800 Little River Rd, Flat Rock, NC.
- An accessible Shuttle is offered 7 days a week and loops through the parking lot every twenty minutes beginning at 9:40 am through 4:20 pm. You may also choose to park at the Accessible parking near the barn. Please call number above for more information.
- From the main parking lot the walk to the Sandburg Home is 0.3 miles with 110' change in elevation uphill on a natural trail surface.
- The pedestrian bridge over the Front Lake dam at the main park entrance is closed. To access park buildings, restrooms, and trails on foot during the closure, visitors must now walk an additional 0.4 mile around Front Lake, and then walk 1/3 mile up a steeply graded hill to the Sandburg Home and farm. Due to the nature of the park's location on mountainous terrain, visitors will encounter changes in grade, uneven pathways and gravel paths. Please call ahead for more information or seek the assistance of a ranger at the start of your visit.
