For Kids

Group of adults, children, and babies in backpacks hiking in a rocky bottomed canyon, with some green shrubs and blue sky.
Capitol Gorge is a kid-friendly hike in a canyon that was the original road through the park, up until 1962. Look for the Pioneer Register, where pioneers carved their names in the rock. Please "leave no trace" and do not add to the Pioneer Register.

Ripple Rock Nature Center

The nature center is located on the Scenic Drive, just south of the visitor center. While the building is closed, some outdoor activities and programs for kids of all ages may be offered, typically in late May through mid-August. Ripple Rock programs are often presented by Utah Valley University interns, through a park partnership. Check at the visitor center or the calendar for schedules.
