Filming and Photography Application Process

Once the park has received your request and has assessed the proposed activity, you will be informed at that time if additional charges may be assessed or incurred. All applications must be fully completed, once approved there can be no changes to the application, so please make sure all details are included.

SUP requests are reviewed and authorized on a first-come first-served basis using the information in the application submitted. Applicants should attach maps, diagrams, schedules, and other pertinent information that might assist park staff in evaluating the request.

Applications are reviewed on a case by case basis. Additional information and requirements will be requested based on the complexity of the request. Application submission does not guarantee approval.

Special instructions are listed on the application forms; please read them carefully. A completed application must be submitted along with the application processing fee.

Cape Cod National Seashore will not censor the content of any filming project, nor require finished film products for review, files or documentation purposes; however, a storyboard, layout, or filming schedule is helpful during the review process.

Permits issued for photography specifically prohibit implied or stated endorsement by the National Park Service. Identifiable NPS equipment, uniforms, buildings or insignia may not be portrayed in commercial advertising in any way that would imply NPS endorsement of the product.
