The Natural Resource Management and Science Division at Cape Cod National Seashore has a large and productive science staff engaged in a wide range of ecosystem monitoring protocols, research projects, and natural resource stewardship projects. The Natural Resource Management and Science staff at Cape Cod National Seashore also serve as the staff of the Atlantic Research and Learning Center.

National Park Service Opportunities

Come join our permanent year-round team, or join us for a fun summer season in one of the most desireable vacation destinations in New England! Seasonal positions are a great way to start a career in the National Park Service or serve as a one-time or recurring summer work experience on beautiful Cape Cod. In most cases, housing is available for seasonal staff. Seasonal positions typically run from April-October. Internship Opportunities

The science staff at Cape Cod National Seashore is engaged in a wide range of research, monitoring, and stewardship activities. There are plenty of exciting internship opportunities for students.

  • Work closely with park scientists and visiting researchers.
  • Contribute to meaningful scientific research, monitoring, or natural resource stewardship projects.
  • Learn field and laboratory techniques.
  • Develop proficiency with scientific instruments and sampling equipment.
  • Gain valuable professional experience.

Most internships are designed to fit within the summer season to accommodate students, although internships can be available almost any time of year.

The Friends of Cape Cod National Seashore sponsor The Joshua A. Nickerson Conservation Fellowship to provide funding for student research at the seashore.

Volunteer Opportunities
