You can be a stewardof Cape Cod National Seashore! Volunteers play a major role in the stewardship of our public lands and work in almost every area of the park. They contribute their enthusiasm, skills, and time to help preserve and protect the park's natural and cultural resources, contribute to essential scientific research through community science, as well as assist and educate visitors. There are several types of opportunities for you to get involved.For those seeking a greater commitment, such as full-time internships for a few months to six months or longer, the national seashore hosts interns provided by American Conservation Experience http://www.usaconservation.org/ and AmeriCorps Cape Cod https://www.americorpscapecod.org/Partner organizations, including Friends of the Cape Cod National Seashore, Truro Historical Society, and Nauset Light Preservation Society also utilize volunteers to accomplish their missions in support of the national seashore.
