Paw Paw Seed CollectionSeptember 2020Early fall is pawpaw season! Pawpaw trees bear the largest edible fruit found in the United States and belong to the scientific family Annonaceae, a group of around 2400 species, of which pawpaw is the only species in the family not found in the tropics. This gives the pawpaw fruit its tropical taste, often considered a mix between a mango and a banana.
