Blue Heron Ghost Train
Expereince the hills of Kentucky and an abandon coal camp during the 9th annual Big South Fork Blue Heron Ghost Train.

The 2020 Ghost Train is on September 12th.

The Ghost Train departs the Big South Fork Scenic Railway's Stearns Depot at 7:00 p.m. ET. There is a train fare for this activity and advanced train reservations are recommended. You may contact the Big South Fork Scenic Railway at 606-376-5330 or visit www.bsfsry.com.
*Alert- Due to heavy winter rain the Big South Fork Scenic Railway has experienced track damage and is currently unable to bring passengers to the Blue Heron Outdoor Museum. Repairs are ongoing and if completed before the event visitors will be able to purchase Ghost Train tickets through the Big South Fork Scenic Railway's website or by calling: 606-376-5330. This event will continue even if repairs are not completed by Septemberr 12th but visitors will need to reach the Blue Heron Outdoor Museum by their car. See below for directions.

Directions to Blue Heron from Stearns Kentucky:
1. Head south on State Hwy 1651 toward Bridge St
2. Turn right onto KY-92 W/State Hwy 1651
3. Turn left onto State Hwy 1651
4. Turn right onto Ky-741
5. Turn right onto State Hwy 742
6. Continue onto Blue Heron Rd

The festivities will start at 6:30 pm ET with live music from local artist, Sammie Suggitt.

Bring a flashlight and be prepared to walk a short distance.
