There will be a park ranger guided walk to Mule Shoe Shelter on Saturday, April 20, at 10:00 a.m. EDT.  Come and join the hike and discover how the shelter got its name.  This is a 1.5 mile round-trip hike during which a park ranger will present a short program called "Lost in the Woods".  Children will have the opportunity to work on the park's Junior Ranger booklet, and on completion each child will be given a free Junior Ranger patch.  Meet at the Bandy Creek hiking trailhead, just a fifth of a mile past the Bandy Creek Campground (there is parking at the trailhead).  Children must be accompanied by an adult.  No reservations are required.

For further information, call the Bandy Creek Visitor Center at (423) 286-7275.
