A program about staying safe on the river will be held at the Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area's Bandy Creek Visitor Center on Saturday, August 3, at 10:00 a.m. (EDT).  This program will be held on the back porch of the Bandy Creek Visitor Center.

People of all ages can learn tips for staying safe while paddling.  Visitors will hear about paddling opportunities within the park, rapid classifications, dressing appropriately for the weather, and what to do if your boat capsizes.

In case of inclement weather, the program will be held in the Interpretation and Education Building located beside the visitor center.

For more information, contact the Bandy Creek Visitor Center at (423) 286-7275.
