As stated in our mission, "The National Park Service preserves unimpaired the natural and cultural resources and values of the National Park System for the enjoyment, education, and inspiration of this and future generations." In order to uphold the NPS mission, we have a dedicated team of scientists, technicians and managers collectively known as our resource management division, that use a variety of scientific principles such as monitoring, inventory and research to address high priority natural and cultural resource management issues and concerns.
