While I was training at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, Moriah Fordham of the U.S. Space & Rocket Center showed me a full-scale Saturn V rocket replica and explained the intense preparation it took to launch and land astronauts on the Moon. NASA is planning a big party to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing this July. Count me in when I get back from space!

Traveling in the spirit of a Newfoundland dog that became one of the most famous members of the Lewis and Clark Expedition, Seaman Jr. will enjoy the sights of our home planet from the International Space Station, including amazing views of our national trails, in honor of the 50th anniversary of the National Trails Act and NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration 60th anniversary.
