Article 2: Reinterpreting New York’s Fort Ticonderoga
The American Battlefield Protection Program has awarded the Fort Ticonderoga Association a Battlefield Interpretation Grant to roll out a new interpretive plan. Coming out of years of historic and archeological research, the Association will use these funds to increase access to an area of the National Historic Landmark known as “Liberty Hill.” Read more

Article 3: Experiencing the Story of the Battle of Princeton
In 2021, the American Battlefield Protection Program will support the American Battlefield Trust and their partners, the Princeton Battlefield State Park, with a Battlefield Interpretation Grant. The recipients will use the funds to enrich the story of the Revolutionary War battle via a smartphone app, interpretive waysides, and brochures that tell a diverse story of the engagement. Read more

Article 4: The Liberty Trail Augmented Reality
The American Battlefield Protection Program has awarded the American Battlefield Trust a Battlefield Interpretation Grant to highlight American Revolutionary history of South Carolina. The trust will partner with partners in the Charleston area to interpret one of the area’s most significant yet overlooked historic resources – the Horn Work – and two lesser-known battlefields. Article 5: Crossroads of the Revolution Visitor Experience
The American Battlefield Protection Program awarded the Camden County Historical Society a Battlefield Interpretation Grant to create an American Revolution Mobile Audio App, featuring 39 interpretive signs celebrating the county’s role in the American Revolution. Read more

Article 6: Forgotten Voices of the American Revolutionary War
With the support of an NPS American Battlefield Protection Program Battlefield Interpretation Grant, Connecticut Radio Information System and its partners will create a fully accessible mobile app to explore lesser-known stories of “Connecticut’s Valley Forge” at the Redding encampment. Read more

The American Battlefield Protection Program has awarded the York County History Center a Battlefield Interpretation Grant to explore exciting new technology in their efforts to revitalize the Colonial Complex in York, Pennsylvania. Read more

Article 8: Three Wars Virtual Fieldtrip
The American Battlefield Protection Program awarded a 2021 Battlefield Interpretation Grant to support the American Battlefield Trust in creating virtual field trip materials for teachers. The project focuses on battles in four states and satisfies Common Core and National Council for Social Studies standards. Read more
