Has your child ever strolled up to you and asked where the hottest place in the world is, what an endangered species is, or gone through a train phrase? The Cráneo and Camaleón podcasts can help – in Spanish! The podcasts, which are entirely in Spanish, focus on S.T.EM. topics (Cráneo) and animals (Camaleón) and are designed for families with kids from kindergarten to 5th grade.
Over the course of five episodes, Spanish-speaking National Park Service (NPS) employees from Washington, D.C., all the way to Hawaii will share interesting facts about the national parks they work in. Listeners will learn about Death Valley National Park, Hawaiian monk seals, white-tailed deer, steam locomotives, and the Devils Hole Pupfish!
The National Park Service is committed to educating and inspiring the next generation of scientists, conservationists, historians, naturalists, engineers, wildlife biologists, and beyond. By sharing information through podcasts like Cráneo and Camaleón, even more people from around the world can take delight in the magic of national parks.
