The Sudbury, Assabet, and Concord Wild and Scenic River
The Sudbury, Assabet, and Concord Wild and Scenic River was designated in April 1999. The 29 miles that were designated were based on its outstandingly remarkable values, including its ecological, historical, archaeological, recreational, and scenic resources. Much of these are regionally or nationally unique and exemplary. Located in Massachusetts, this Partnership Wild and Scenic River system offers beauty and outdoor recreation opportunities for locals and tourists.
