As the first President from Missouri, Harry S Truman had an unlikely journey to Capitol Hill. His presidency turned into one of America’s greatest stories. From war hero to the White House, Truman dealt with adversity through integrity and a strong work ethic. Harry S Truman National Historic Site offers you many opportunities to improve your personal health by moving through Truman’s neighborhood, learning about life on his family farm and examining how his choices as president propelled our nation in the 20th century.
