Nashua, Squannacook, and Nissitissit Wild and Scenic Rivers

On March 12, 2019, the ‘Nashua Wild and Scenic Rivers Act’ was signed into law, granting parts of the Nashua, Squannacook, and Nissitissit as Partnership Wild and Scenic Rivers. The 52.8 miles of designated river runs through eleven Massachusetts and New Hampshire communities. These rivers were designated alongside two other Partnership Wild and Scenic Rivers, the Lower Farmington & Salmon Brook and the Wood-Pawcatuck Watershed.
