Lower Farmington & Salmon Brook Wild and Scenic Rivers

On March 12, 2019, with the signing of the ‘John D. Dingell Jr. Conservation, Management, and Recreation Act’, the Lower Farmington and Salmon Brook rivers were officially designated as Partnership Wild and Scenic Rivers. The 62-mile portion of designated river meanders its way through ten towns in Connecticut. These rivers were designated alongside two other Partnership Wild and Scenic Rivers, the Nashua, Squannacook, and Nissitissit Rivers and the Wood-Pawcatuck Watershed.
