This proposal seeks funding to support the expansion of the Community Volunteer Ambassador (CVA) youth program within the National Park Service (NPS). Managed in partnership with the Stewards Individual Placements Program, the CVA program aims to increase youth climate action volunteer opportunities in parks.

Why? The CVA program has proven successful in providing capacity-building services to park, focusing on increased volunteerism and community engagement. As the program enters its eighth year, the project seeks to expand and amplify its positive outcomes. The initiative aligns with the Volunteers-In-Parks program, providing diverse AmeriCorps members with opportunities for professional development, service, and conservation stewardship.
