Buffalo Soldiers National Museum (BSNM), located in Houston, Texas, is the nation’s largest museum dedicated solely to exploring and displaying the stories and contributions of African Americans in the U.S. military and contains the largest private collection of African American military memorabilia. The BSNM features several permenant and rotating exhibits spanning from the Revolutionary War to present day. Its collections contain more than 4,500 items, including photographs, art, medals and insignia, memorabilia, weapons, currency, letters, papers, and uniforms. Additionally, the museum sponsors lectures, book talks, educational workshops, visual and performing arts events, family-friendly activities, and other programming.

The African American Civil Rights Network recognizes the African American Civil Rights Movement in the United States and the sacrifices made by those who fought against discrimination and segregation. Created by the African American Civil Rights Act of 2017, and coordinated by the National Park Service, the Network tells the stories of the people, places, and events of the U.S. African American Civil Rights Movement through a collection of public and private resources to include properties, facilities, and programs.
