Aleutian Islands World War II National Historic Area

Albert King was born in New Bedford, MA in 1923. He and one brother were both drafted into the service during WWII and both came home from the war. King served as Mess Sergeant in the Adak 278th Coast Artillery in the Aleutian Islands. After he returned home, he attended culinary school in New Haven, CT. He has one son and one daughter and enjoys baseball.
