Baltimore Tree Trust and Baltimore Peace Movement’s Memorial Tree Plantings

In 2022, 14 trees were planted with families in Druid Hill Park in honor of loved ones lost to gun violence. This effort builds upon that work, with 14 tree plantings to occur over the next year, totaling 28 trees and lives honored and remembered. Baltimore Tree Trust, Inc.’s project will interview the 28 families, and stories will be available via a QR code on each tree as well as reflected through local artwork. In addition, a series of events will bring together Baltimore City residents for moments of peace and dialogue about their environment.
