Arches National Park has one visitor center, located just inside the park entrance, five miles north of Moab, Utah.

Arches Visitor Center

The visitor center is generally open every day except December 25. Hours vary by season. You can learn about the park from exhibits and a bookstore. Rangers are on duty to answer your questions. Restrooms and drinking water are available.

Directions

The Arches Visitor Center is located just inside the entrance gate to Arches National Park. From Moab, Utah, drive 5 miles north on US 191. From I-70 (Crescent Junction), drive 28 miles south on US 191. Follow signs to Arches National Park.

Current Hours (Winter/Spring Hours)

December 1–April 26

• Every Day:9:00 AM–4:30 PM

Rangers provide visitor services and the park store is open daily, except Christmas Day (December 25).

Standard Hours

• Every Day:8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Arches Visitor Center is normally open year-round and daily except for December 25. Hours vary by the season. Restrooms, drinking water, and outdoor exhibits are available 24 hours a day.

Summer Hours

April 20–September 21

• Every Day:7:30 AM–6:00 PM

Late Summer Hours

September 8–September 21

• Every Day:7:30 AM–5:00 PM

In early September, the visitor center and park store are open 7:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Early Fall Hours

September 22–October 20

• Every Day:8:00 AM–6:00 PM

Through much of autumn the visitor center and park store are open daily, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Late Fall Hours

November 3–November 23

• Every Day:9:00 AM–5:00 PM

The visitor center and park store are open daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm in early November.

Thanksgiving Week

November 24–November 30

• Sunday-Wednesday:8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Thursday:8:00 AM–1:00 PM
• Friday and Saturday:8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Arches Visitor Center is open extra hours the week of the Thanksgiving holiday, but only a half day (8 am to 1 pm) on Thanksgiving Day itself.

Winter/Spring Hours

Christmas Eve/Christmas Day

December 24–December 25

• Sunday and Monday:9:00 AM–4:30 PM

• Thursday-Saturday:9:00 AM–4:30 PM

Arches' park store will be open and rangers will provide services only a half-day on Christmas Eve (December 24). Both operations will be closed on Christmas Day (December 25).
