Event: Marriage Event Date: 10/07/1818 Event Place: Tumacácori
Notes: José María Montaño, widower of María Diaños, and María Romero. On the 7th of October in the year of the Lord 1818, the three banns prescribed by the Holy Council of Trent having solemnly preceded on three consecutive feast days with no canonical impediment having resulted, I, Fray Narciso Gutiérrez, minister for His Majesty in this mission of San José de Tumacácori, in the church asked José María Montaño, native of the Río Oposura and brought here by the mador of this mission, and María Romero, daughter of Don Juan Bautista Romero and María Loreta Cota, if they wanted to be joined in matrimony. Receiving their consent and by present church policy for performing true and legitimate marriage, I solemnly joined and veiled them the same day. Present and well-known witnesses were Don Antonio de Zúñiga, Loreto Bauptista, and Tomás Castro, and for this truth I signed as above. = Fray Narciso Gutiérrez (rubric), Minister for His Majesty
