Notes: In the year of the Lord 1802 on the fifth of June, I, Friar Narciso Gutiérrez, Father and Apostolic Minister for His Majesty in this Mission of Tumacácori, at the time of the celebration of the Mass and in accordance with the dictates of Our Holy Mother Church, veiled Manuel Gonzales, a Yuma Indian, and María Loreto Marques, a Yuma Indian whom he married in the gentility. They baptized them first. Present and well-known witnesses were Don Nicolás de la Herran, husband of Doña Loreta Marques; Ramón Ríos, husband of Gertrudis Borboa; and José Pineda, husband of Guadalupe Pacha; and for this truth I signed on the said day, month, and year as above.
