The Visitor Center, Engine House 6 Exhibit Shelter, and the Lemon House are open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Park grounds and trails are open daily from sunrise to sunset.

Park buildings are closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.

There is no entrance fee at Allegheny Portage Railroad National Historic Site.
