Allegheny Portage Railroad National Historic Site Junior Ranger program

Children can participate in the Junior Ranger program! Ask at the information desk in the Summit Level Visitor Center for a copy of the park Junior Ranger book for a fun guide to the story of the Allegheny Portage Railroad. Answers to the fun activities are available in the Summit Level Visitor Center, the Engine House No. 6 Exhibit Shelter, the Lemon House, along the park trails, and/or even by assisting with a historic demonstration.

Does your child want to participate in the Junior Ranger program, but cannot easily get to the park site? Just click Junior Ranger Booklet to get a copy of the book.
