Cellular and Wi-Fi

Cellular Service

Cell service availability in the park depends on your service provider carrier. However, dead zones exist for all carriers within the park. Other providers have extremely limited service, if any at all.

Be sure to understand the nature of your outdoor activities and plan accordingly, as cell service may be unavailable depending on your location.

Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi is available through local carriers.

Emergencies and First Aid

For all emergencies call 911.

911 emergency service call system is available in the area. Minor first aid is available in the Visitor Centers. Nearest full service hospital is about 17 miles from the park in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.

Lost and Found

Check with the information desk inside the Visitor Center at the Birthplace Unit for all lost and/or found items.

Shopping

America’s National Parks Bookstore

Located inside the Birthplace Visitor Center, the America’s National Parks Bookstore sells educational materials and souvenirs. Proceeds from purchases sold in the bookstore go directly to supporting education and preservation programs at the Abraham Lincoln Birthplace NHP.

Food and Dining

There are no commercial Goods or Services (other than the bookstore) available at park units. There are a variety of restaurants available in the immediate area. Motels, campgrounds, and a wider variety of restaurants are available in Hodgenville, KY (3 miles) Elizabethtown, KY (15 miles) or Bardstown, KY (28 miles).
