Operating Hours & Seasons

The park is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, year-round.

When the Zion Canyon Shuttle System is operating, Zion Canyon Scenic Drive is only accessible by shuttle. If you want to use a personal vehicle on the scenic drive, check the Zion Canyon Shuttle Schedule to see when the operating season ends. The Zion-Mt. Carmel Highway, Kolob Canyons Scenic Drive, and Kolob Terrace Road allow personal vehicles year-round.

Shuttle

Zion Canyon Shuttle System

For most of the year, visitors can ride a free shuttle from the Zion Canyon Visitor Center into Zion Canyon (Zion Canyon Line) or through the town of Springdale (Springdale Line). Check the seasonal shuttle schedule online for details. During the shuttle season, personal vehicles cannot drive on the Zion Canyon Scenic Drive, but they can drive on other roads in the area.
