Yellowstone National Park and its official education partner, the Yellowstone Association Institute have teamed up to offer a series of teacher workshops in the park. These workshops are outstanding opportunities to draw on the knowledge of experienced field educators and come away with invigorating ideas for any educational setting.

Yellowstone is the classroom where workshop participants are immersed in the dynamic geology, ecology, biology, and human history of this wild landscape. Each workshop is brimming with exciting content, as well as specific interdisciplinary lessons appropriate for both classroom and field settings. Lessons are correlated to state and national education standards. Graduate level credits are available through Colorado State University. Continuing education credits are also available for Wyoming and Montana teachers.

More than 12,000 thermal features can be found in Yellowstone.

This year we are offering three dynamic teacher workshops in Yellowstone: 

The National Park Service has received a generous grant from Toyota USA through the Yellowstone Park Foundation in support of these teacher workshops as well as other educational opportunities.

Scholarships may be available to Wyoming 4th-8th grade teachers through a generous grant from the Daniels Fund to the Yellowstone Association Institute. Contact the Yellowstone Association for information on scholarship application and additional workshop information.
