Week of August 17, 2009

Preservation treatment work has begun on the historic Wesleyan Chapel on Fall Street in Seneca Falls.

The public is invited to attend an open house on Thursday, August 27, 2009, for an update on the project. The open house will be held in the park visitor center, 136 Fall Street, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM.

The preferred alternative, rehabilitation of the Wesleyan Chapel, will include the rebuilding of north and south walls and replacement of doors, windows, and roofing. For more information on this important project attend the open house or read the Environmental Assessment at http://parkplanning.nps.gov/.

Check this page for updates on the preservation project.
