Visitor Center Interpretive Film

The Wilson's Creek National Battlefield Foundation and Wide Awake Films of Kansas City have produced a new 26-minute interpretive film about the August 1861 campaign. Although a "rough edit" of the film is currently being shown in the Visitor Center, final editing will take place in August 2008. Photos from the filming may be seen by clicking here.

Five Medals of Honor were awarded for gallantry at Wilson's Creek, including one to Lorenzo Dow Immell of Battery F, 2nd U.S. Artillery (Totten's Battery).
