Effective on Wednesday July 22, the upper portion of Brandy Creek road will be closed to the public for the purpose of realigning the Brandy Creek Falls trailhead.  The road closure will begin just past the Rich Gulch trailhead which will allow visitor access to Brandy Creek Falls.  “Using the Rich Gulch trail is an alternative way to hike to Brandy Creek Falls”, explained park superintendent Jim Milestone.  “There will be heavy equipment operating primarily in the closed area but we want to caution visitors to drive slowly and carefully while on Brandy Creek road, especially during this restoration period”, concluded Milestone. The closure will remain in effect for approximately two weeks.  For more information about this project please contact park geologist Brian Rasmussen at 530- 242-3444.
