patio boat tours of WhiskeytownLake as part of the
national Free Fee Weekend set for July 18-19, 2009. The free patio boat tours will be offered throughout

want to reinforce that national parks are places for everyone to have fun,
reconnect with nature and history, and build a sense of ownership and
stewardship toward parks and environment”, stated park superintendent, Jim
Milestone. Reservations (530-242-3462) for this special tour will be taken
starting Saturday, July 4th.
This is the second in a
series of three summer weekends that the National Park Service will waive
entrance fees and offer free patio boat tours. The third and last free weekend is scheduled
for August 15-16, 2009. Patio Boat reservations for the August 15-16 weekend
will not be taken until Saturday, August 1. “We want to once again acknowledge and thank
Forever Resorts for their donation of the patio boat and providing a driver for
these special tours,” concluded Milestone.
