Parks Working Together Earth Day Event

Whiskeytown National Recreation Area will be joining forces with Shasta State Historical Park in hosting the first annual “Parks Working Together” Earth Day Event on Saturday, April 21st, from 9am to 1pm.

This year’s theme will focus on weed removal projects for all ages that will help in “uncovering the ruins” of this great historic town. Drinks and snacks will be provided and entry to the museum is free for all volunteers on Earth Day.

There will be fun and educational booths by the Western Shasta RCD, Shasta County Department of Agriculture, Shasta College Natural Resources Club, Shasta Chapter of the California Native Plant Society, and the Audubon Society. This is a great opportunity to come out and support your local parks on Earth Day!
