Wheeling is one of the most accessible locations in West Virginia.

Located on I-70 in West Virginia’s northern panhandle, Wheeling is about an hour from Pittsburgh, PA to the east, and two hours from Columbus to the west.  The Pittsburgh International Airport serves the need of air travelers.

One morning in 1845 the Mount Washington Tavern served 72 stagecoach passengers breakfast. Located on the National Road, the tavern was a stop on the Good Intent stagecoach line.
