November 2008 – December 2009 — Due to major road construction in the park, several sections of the tour road will be intermittently closed and/or travel restricted throughout the year.

Current construction work is detailed below.  Please watch for construction equipment and obey all traffic instructions.

September 1, 2009 — The South Loop tour road will be closed to all pedestrian, vehicle/motorcycle, and bicycle traffic while the final phase of the park's road construction project is in progress.
